This week, the Alabama Senate unanimously passed the Renewing Alabama’s Investment in Student Excellence (RAISE) Act. This bill would modernize the way Alabama funds education, ensuring that students with greater needs, such as special education students, English Language Learners, and students in poverty, receive the support they need to succeed. The RAISE Act introduces a hybrid funding formula for Alabama’s K-12 public education system, enhancing the existing Foundation Program and targeting student needs. This type of investment will be transformational for students. Click here to learn more about the legislation.
